The 2.5-layer SHELL-LIGHT material consists of a robust polyamide outer fabric and a high-performance polyurethane membrane. With a water column of 20,000 mm, the jacket is waterproof and windproof, even in persistent rain and sudden changes in Alpine weather. At the same time, the material remains breathable, allowing moisture generated during the most demanding climbs to escape.
Weighing just 200 grams, the jacket is almost invisible in your backpack. It can be completely folded into its chest pocket (Stow Pocket). The integrated loop allows you to attach the compact pack to the outside of your backpack, perfect as an always-on-hand emergency jacket.
The pre-adjustable hood stays securely in place in windy conditions, elasticated cuffs ensure a comfortable fit and an elasticated hem reduces drafts. A soft merino wool blend insert on the forehead increases comfort and feels pleasant on the skin, even during long excursions or in direct contact with the fabric.
