Leather approach shoe, made with innovative solutions in the construction of the upper and the sole/midsole system developed specifically by La Sportiva for the approach world.
The fit is ergonomic and precise thanks to the particular mounting system of the all-around tie rod which wraps the shoe 360° and connects to the lacing system. The tie rod also innovatively wraps the midsole in the front part, contributing to the distribution of tension evenly across the entire shoe. This construction system derives from the know-how developed by La Sportiva in the world of climbing shoes. The protective rubber toe cap is also derived from climbing shoes with a construction that allows for continuity between the edge and the sole for greater sensitivity when climbing. The EVA midsole features a "Rock Guard" platform at the toe and a shock-absorbing insert at the rear, to facilitate ankle support while avoiding unnatural twisting. The Vibram Idrogrip sole was created with specific characteristics for the approach and is equipped with an Impact Brake System on the heel and internal part, suction cup lugs on the external part and climbing zone on the toe. The maximum of La Sportiva technology applied to approach footwear.
