The Ortovox Trad Plus Jacket W was designed precisely for this terrain. It combines high abrasion resistance with natural climate comfort, offering mountaineers a sophisticated softshell solution for intensive rock use.

Its heart is the innovative Merino Shield Tec material. A robust polyamide construction on the outside ensures durability, while the fine merino wool on the inside offers a pleasant feel on the skin. This combination effectively regulates humidity, balances temperature and prevents unpleasant cooling during stops. At the same time, the material remains extremely flexible thanks to its four-way stretch, ideal for traverses, placing protection or abseiling.

With at least 50,000 abrasion cycles in the Martindale test, Merino Shield Tec proves exceptionally durable. High-wear areas such as shoulders, forearms and hips are further reinforced with Shield Light. This material resists over 80,000 abrasion cycles, is water-repellent, elastic and breathable. This means the jacket resists constant contact with rock and chafing from a backpack or climbing harness.
