The ERGONOMIC ice ax is designed for steep ice and dry tooling. The strong inclination of the handle ensures an ideal angle for prolonged suspensions and greater effectiveness in traction. The double handle ensures various grip modes and stable hand changes. Comfortable on rock and ice, the DRY blade optimizes inverted positions and the balancing masses facilitate blade jamming in cracks. Equipped with a very small hammer, the head is protected and allows you to hammer a nail. Entirely modular, accessories can be configured based on the expected climb.

Description

Comfortable grip, suitable for very technical climbs:
- multiple grip modes and stable hand changes, thanks to the double handle (high and low),
- very decentralized low grip to ensure greater comfort in suspension and greater power in extremely difficult passages. The shape allows gripping with an open hand, reducing fatigue and optimizing rest phases,
- high overmoulded, bi-material handle for excellent grip and perfect insulation from the cold,
- hydroformed handle for optimal grip in the center of the handle.
Anchoring, hooking and interlocking effectiveness on all terrains:
- perfect geometry and balance of the ice ax for exceptional effectiveness,
- easy attachments, thanks to the shaping under the head,
- DRY blade sharpened at the end (3.3 mm) and versatile on all terrains: rock, snow and ice. The 4 mm thickness guarantees better resistance in torsional locking. The serrated ridge stabilizes its use in upside-down positions,
- greater inertia and hitting quality, thanks to the MASSELOTTES,
- geometry of the balancing masses for the blade fittings in the cracks.
Modular construction:
- entirely modular head to adapt the technicality of the ice axe,
- compatible with Petzl accessories: ICE, PUR'ICE, PUR'DRY, PANNE, MARTEAU,
- supplied with MINI MARTEAU to protect the ice ax head and hammer down the pegs,
- without accessories, the ice ax becomes lighter for dry tooling (only 550 g),
- GRIPREST ERGONOMIC support, overmolded and adjustable to three positions to adapt to all hand sizes, even with large gloves. The absence of the steel tip in the lower part strengthens protection in the event of involuntary release.
