Blackbird

BLACKBIRD is the new SCARPA climbing shoe designed to redefine the concepts of precision, support and control on minimum supports. The result of six years of development, it combines sensitivity and support in an advanced construction, making it ideal for sport climbing on rock, long routes and technical bouldering.

The heart of the project is innovation Carbon-Enhanced 3D Molded Pebax® midsole, designed to more efficiently distribute the force on the forefoot and offer a precise push on micro-supports. This structure works together with a softer upper, improving comfort and reducing foot fatigue even in the most intense sessions.

The Double layer microfibre upper, with front lining in Alcantara®, guarantees an enveloping fit, high comfort and greater sensitivity in the most technical passages. The enveloping closure system and the tensioning designed to keep the foot stable increase the feeling on the wall, while the heel with construction IHC improves precision, comfort and performance in heel strikes.

To complete the structure we find the Vibram® XS Grip 2 sole, combined with a softer and more elastic M50 rubber toe cap, to offer grip, sensitivity and support in the most delicate situations. The result is a high-performance shoe that overcomes the classic distinction between a rigid and soft model, offering a modern balance between stability, precision and sensitivity.

Fit Note: BLACKBIRD is not designed for aggressive downsizing; it is advisable to choose at least half a size larger than your usual SCARPA climbing shoe.
