Intuitive belay device with climbing rope lock. The first generation of the Smart Belay device was successfully launched in 2009. Built on experience, the new Smart 2.0 offers significantly improved braking effectiveness as well as optimized geometry and intuitive handling. The newly developed braking insert blocks the rope in the event of a fall. The belay action of the Smart 2.0 is the same as the previous model and is therefore adapted to the reflex movements of the belay.
Using Smart 2.0 is very simple, as it works without moving parts or levers. Only 80 grams: it is light and fits perfectly in the hand.
Smart 2.0 can be used intuitively. The compact geometry makes sliding the rope even easier and faster, while the two-component handle offers a firm grip that is pleasant to the touch.
In the event of a fall, Smart 2.0 reliably locks the climbing rope. The safety carabiner interacts with the newly developed high-performance braking insert. For professionals: greater safety and optimal support for the insured. When the climber takes a break, the effort required by the belayer is reduced by the already secured rope.
